Facial Fit

Some of us are fortunate in that we have a definite face shape.

This is of great help when choosing sunglasses as certain rules come into play, which are as follows:

Square Face - Compliment a square face with styles that are slightly curved

Round Face - To play down roundness try angular or square styles. Beware of cheeks touching rims or lenses.
Oblong Face - This is very similar to a square face, so a slightly deeper curved style that covers as much of the centre of the face as possible will help to minimise the length.
Triangular Face - This shape is defined by a broad forehead and narrow mouth and chin, and is best suited to styles that are thin rimmed, rimless and lightly coloured. The actual shape should be slightly curved, but is not that important providing the sunglasses don't sit too high.
Oval Face - More styles look good with this shape than any other, as long as the size is in proportion to the face and you follow our g Plus plan (see below).

For those of us mere mortals, who don't quite have the definitive shaped face, follow your brow line with the top rim of the sunglasses, making sure they are not too tight or too loose across the width of the head and nose. This will normally give a comfortable sunglass fit.

Generally sunglasses that are comfortable and snug even for non-sports styles will indicate that you have chosen well.

G-Plus Plan

  1. Follow brow line
  2. Make sure nasal width fitting is correct. You don't want your sunnies fitting too high or too low.
  3. Make sure you choose the correct head width.

These are just a few helpful tips we have picked up by dealing with thousands of face shapes over the last few years. If however, you find something that feels right but doesn't conform to all of the above, trust your own judgment you're probably right.
